5 Aiya Napa Restaurants To Go To Next Time You’re In Cyrus

Aiya Napa restaurants are unsung. The small Cyrus town has a reputation for being the Brit’s version of a Spring Break spot, but there is surprisingly a lot of great variety. During my almost two-week stay there, I ate everywhere from the beach-side to the “strip”. Here are some of the places I ate while I was in Aiya Napa.

Megu Japanese Restaurant

I’m not much of a seafood person, so I didn’t get the sushi but indulging in raw fish while you’re at an Aiya Napa restaurant isn’t a bad idea. This Mediterranean town is conveniently surrounded by water so you know the fish you’re eating is fresh.

As you can see from my boomerang above, my friends got the sushi and enjoyed it. I had some delicious sweet potato tempura and avocado rolls with pickled ginger. I’m more of a russet potato or Okinawa sweet potato girl, but the tempura was a delight.

Tempura is the best way to consume vegetables. Argue with yourself.

Limanaki Fish Restaurant

When I tell you I tried to bring this back to London with me because I couldn’t finish it at this Aiya Napa restaurant…. Being surrounded by salty seawater for hours on a boat cruise made us extremely hungry, so we randomly went to this seaside restaurant. I’m happy we did. My mouth is watering just looking at this risotto. I’m actually kind of sad this is the only picture I took of it.

Abacus Restaurant and Lounge Bar

Our group frequented this restaurant because of its accessibility and good food. I believe this was also one of the first restaurants we went to during our trip. This was another random find. (Honestly, most of the restaurants we went to in Aiya Napa, we simply came across while walking around.) The portion sizes here and most of the restaurants were American-sized which was surprising to me because you know – Europe. I don’t have an explanation on why this was, but I neve finished my plate. It was simply too much food.

I recommend something here earlier in the day (eg. lunch.) During dinner, which seems to be pretty late in Aiya Napa, gets pretty busy. Its possible you won’t get in somewhere to eat if you try to go somewhere without a reservation for dinner.

The chicken doner, fries, crepes, etc. I had here were enjoyable.

Maistrali Seafood Seaview Restaurant

After an evening of chilling on the beach, we walked up the hill to go to this cliff-side spot. It was very chic. Sadly, I don’t remember what I ate because I clearly focused on taking selfies. The seafood pasta (see above) is what my friend had.

AVRA Tavern (Authentic Cypriot Kitchen)

Eating Cyprian/Mediterranean food was something I really wanted to do a least once. I have always enjoyed Mediterranean food whenever I’ve had it. There was no way I was going to skip out on eating it from the source. I had a few appetizers in addition to these chicken skewers. It was filling yet refreshing with the fresh veggie garnish and tahini sauce.

If you ever go here or somewhere with grilled hallumi – get it.
