As you can see from my TikTok, I flew from Tokyo, Japan, to Seoul, South Korea, for a day trip. I’m spontaneous and a little crazy, what can I say?
Zipair Tokyo Flight Review
This review will discuss my Zipair Tokyo flight experience in Economy class. (I almost booked in business, but I waited too long to purchase my flight ticket, and buying the upgrade no longer made sense.) My first tip is to book as soon as the price works for you. The price of the ticket seems to change rather quickly within the same day, so when the price is right for you – hop on it.
The Seats
If I had to rank EasyJet, Zipair, Spirit, and Southwest Airlines seats, I would say this: Spirit is last, EasyJet in the middle, then Southwest and Zipair tied for first – with the caveat for Southwest Airlines that it depends on the plane model. (Their seats have never been consistently nice or not nice in my experience.) I’m the average height of a typical American woman, but I “read as tall” to most people. This is probably due to the fact my leg are long for my sature. I mention this because my legs were relatively comfortable sitting in these seats. There seemed to be a humane
For a discount airline, the seats were pretty nice and were in good condition. From the image above, you can clearly see how much legroom there was.
Zipair Tokyo is currently gaining some traction due to the fact they’re offering sub $300 tickets to Tokyo from the West Coast.
I’m not sure if I could stand that flight, but not for the reasons you think.
That Zipair Airlines flight from the West Coast to Tokyo will undoubtedly be comfortable. The company is owned by Japan Airlines (JAL), so the comfort and service provided by the airline is not thing I question. JAL is a reputable airline and I had a good experience on Zipair. I, however, will 1000% grow hungry on the 10+ hour flight. On Zipair, to my understanding, does not offer complimentary food. It has to be purchased. Additionally, I believe the food options include… ramen? Not my style. I’d like more prepared food included in my flight.
For short distances though, I’m so in!
