Update on studying Japanese
Another exciting thing that happened recently is Duolingo came out with a Japanese course on their app! Now I’ll continue to patiently wait for the Korean course. I have only come across an error or two, but so far so good! I really like how Duolingo is set up. It teaches you the kanji first, which is amazing. Learning kanji from the get-go is probably the best and most helpful way to learn Japanese. There are around 2,000 regularly used kanji, so its best to face it head on. I have learned so much already, for example “お茶と水をのみます”. Which translates to I drink tea and water.
Brief thoughts on T.O.P & weed
When I first read about the T.O.P of Big Bang marijuana scandal I didn’t get it. That fact that is was a big deal was beyond me. It wasn’t until I skimmed over some articles about Korean drug law did I understand the multitude of the issue. I am American, not Korean so I personally do not see the big deal in smoking weed. I pretty much know for a fact that a lot of musicians here in America smoke weed, if not worse (i.e. Miley Cyrus). Although from what I understand weed is in the ranks of hard drugs in South Korea. Hope this all blows over for him and BIGBANG. Anyone wanna tell me their thoughts on the scandal?
Music I’m Listening To
This website is by no means a music blog, but I am really in love with these two songs right now. The vocals in both of them is just splendid. These songs only consist of one thing: Talent. There are no ‘naughty’ words, sexual innuendos or whatever. I don’t mind songs with those things, but its kind of refreshing when they don’t have them. It shows you the artist can go beyond the basic ‘sex sells’ strategy (shade intended for: Liam Payne). I am a bit late but I am planning on listening to Harry’s album in its entirety. And Willow Smith sang an entire song about Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time. Enough said.
